Description
The Computer Network Technology Diploma in the Computer Technology Department is designed to meet local labor market requirements and is delivered at technical colleges over five semesters. Each eighteen-week semester comprises a total of 1,744 training hours, plus 490 hours of practical on-the-job training, totaling 79 credit hours. The program focuses on specialized skills such as operating systems, routing, switching, network construction, and configuring various network devices, alongside general skills in Islamic culture, Arabic, English, mathematics, and computer applications. It also covers professional guidance, excellence, workplace ethics, and communication skills. Upon completion, graduates are awarded an Associate Degree in Computer Technology, specializing in Computer Networks, and are qualified for roles such as network technicians, network security technicians, technical support specialists, computer technicians, operators, data entry clerks, or specifications and standards technicians within the networking field.
